A new photo posted by Selena Gomez to her Instagram Stories on Thursday morning has fans thinking that Selena Gomez and boyfriend Benny Blanco are engaged.
Gomez, 32, was photographed taking a selfie in front of the mirror in her bathroom wearing an off-the-shoulder gold dress, while the producer, 36, stood behind her in floral pants and a white tank top. Interestingly, Gomez had her ring finger covered with a pink heart emoji.
“Night out,” she wrote above the photo.
Fans believe Gomez is hiding a ring underneath the emoji.
“You’re hiding your fingers!! What’s that…?” 1 user wrote in X.
“Is she hiding her engagement ring??? Oh my goodness we’ve lost.” Add another one.
“Oh, she’s engaged.” A third person said.
“She’s definitely engaged😭💍” a fourth fan tweeted..
Further adding to the engagement rumors, gossip site DeuxMoi I posted a tip The couple “got engaged over the weekend surrounded by friends at their usual beach house.”
Page Six has reached out to reps for Gomez and Blanco for comment but did not immediately hear back.
In December 2023, the Only Murders in the Building actress confirmed that she had been dating Blanco for six months.
The following month, a source told Entertainment Tonight that the pair viewed their relationship as a long-term one.
“[She] “She feels very at home and safe with Benny,” the source said.
“Both their friends, family and loved ones are all supportive and excited for what will be a beautiful and lasting relationship between them.”
In May, Gomez revealed that she had plans to adopt a child by the time she turned 35 before meeting the cookbook author.
“I was alone for five years and I got used to it,” she told Time magazine. “A lot of people are scared of being alone, but I think I tortured myself for about two years about being alone, and then I kind of accepted it.”
The pop star said she “came up with a plan” to adopt a child at age 35 “if I never met anyone.”
But meeting Branko changed her plans.
“It happens when you least expect it,” she said.
