During the shooting competition at the Paris Olympics, athlete Kim Ye-ji (31) attracted a lot of attention on social media platforms due to her shooting skills and the “stylish futuristic glasses” she wore during the competition.

Kim’s iconic look garnered a lot of attention on social media after Elon Musk responded to a Twitter post featuring Kim by saying, “She should be in an action movie. No acting needed!”

Kim won the silver medal in the 10m air pistol event.

She is reportedly not active on social media and only learned of her popularity online from one of her coaches, who told the attacker that she had become a “world star” during the Olympics.

Nonetheless, many competitive shooters have also begun to adopt the futuristic-looking glasses because they help relax the athlete’s muscles.

Video footage of Kim’s collapse showed Olympic officials rushing to her aid, and the shooter was eventually taken to hospital for a medical examination.

After speaking with the coroner, a spokesperson told reporters that Kim had only lost consciousness briefly, and that rumors that she needed CPR were untrue.

The cause of the collapse is said to be “fatigue” experienced at the Olympics.
