Deion Sanders beefs with reporters in fiery press conference

Deion Sanders isn’t waiting for the regular season to start. He wants to get it off his chest. now.

Sanders, the University of Colorado head coach, got into a heated argument with reporters during a press conference, and Sanders didn’t seem to like the reports.

The Hall of Fame defensive back spoke to the media on Friday afternoon as CBS Colorado’s Erik Christensen began asking Sanders questions.

As Christensen introduced himself, Sanders interrupted him, saying, “CBS,” and waving his hand dismissively.

“I’m not doing anything with CBS. Next question: It has nothing to do with you,” he assured Christensen. “It’s more than that. It has nothing to do with you. I love you. I appreciate you. I respect you. It has nothing to do with you. They know what they’ve done.”

Christensen tried to remind Sanders that he was a reporter for local media, CBS Denver, not a national publication, an important distinction Prime never seemed to consider.

“You are you. CBS is CBS,” he pressed. “It has nothing to do with you. I respect you, that’s why I said that. I look you in the eye as a man,” Sanders said, donning sunglasses. “I respect you. I love you, but what they did was terrible.”

“You hate us. Why would you do this to yourself?” Sanders asked..

“No, I’m serious. Why would you do this? You don’t know anything about this. Why would you do this?”

The reporter noted that the first question was about football, but Sanders did not seem to take that as a satisfactory answer.

“Like, what have we done to you?” Sanders asked.

Colorado opens the season on Aug. 29 against North Dakota State, and it’s shaping up to be another eventful season.
