Former YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki has passed away.

Wojcicki’s husband confirmed in a Facebook post on Friday that she had died after a two-year battle with cancer.

“It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of Susan Wojcicki. My beloved wife of 26 years and mother of our five children passed away today after a two-year battle with non-small cell lung cancer,” Dennis Troper wrote in a Facebook post.

[Susan was] “Not only was she my best friend and life partner, she was also a brilliant mind, a loving mother and a dear friend to so many,” he continued.

“Her impact on our family and the world is immeasurable. We are heartbroken but grateful for the time we had with her,” Troper said. “Please keep our family in your thoughts as we get through this difficult time.”

Wojcicki played a key role in Google’s early days, renting space in his parents’ garage to the company’s co-founders in 1998 and later becoming its 16th director.Number employee.

However, she is best known as the CEO of YouTube, a role she held for nine years since taking over in 2014.

Jochicki was 56 years old and leaves behind her husband and five children.

Earlier this year, the family faced tragedy when one of their children, Marco Troper, was found dead in his dorm room at the University of California, Berkeley.
