Maren Morris is thankful to the one person who helped her through her failed marriage: Ryan Hurd.
Country star Morris revealed that her “partner in crime” and four-year-old son have “helped me so much this year.” People magazine.
“I don’t know if he knows that,” she added. “I don’t think he knows, but I just want to be a good mom to him.”

Morris and Heard finalized their divorce in January and divided their assets under a property settlement and prenuptial agreement. The former couple have one son, Hayes.
“The Middle” singer spoke candidly about how her split from her ex-husband affected her young son.
“I think when you have a child with someone and the relationship doesn’t work out, there are a lot of emotions that come up. For the sake of your child, you just have to be brave and consistent,” she continued.

“I think he’s been through a lot… I’m sure there’s been a lot of turmoil, being so young.”
Morris added that the only way he could get closer to Hayes was to bring him on tour.
“He loves to tour and it’s been so much fun having Hayes this summer… We kind of feel like we’re accomplices and this bus journey is going to go on forever,” Morris explained.

Morris cited “irreconcilable differences” in her divorce filing on Oct. 2. In court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, the country music star wrote, “The parties are unable to live together successfully as husband and wife and are experiencing irreconcilable differences in their marriage.”

Hurd and Morris met in 2013 while writing Tim McGraw’s Last Turn Home, but it wasn’t until 2015 that the two became romantically involved.
