Journalist confirms Tulsi Gabbard husband terror watchlist

Independent journalist Matt Taibbi confirmed a whistleblower report that former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard was placed on a terrorism watch list under the “Open Skies” program.

Sonya Hightower LaBosco, the whistleblower behind the UndercoverDC report, joins Jill Savage on the “Blaze News Tonight” panel to discuss the implications of such a shocking situation.

“How could an Army Reserve officer like Tulsi Gabbard suddenly find herself on a terrorism watch list?” Jill asked.

“We still don’t know why Ms. Gabbard and her husband are under terrorism watch,” Labosco said, adding, “We are inside the Federal Air Marshals Service, and we have federal air marshals deployed around the world and around the country, but there is no one within the service who can answer that question.”

But LaBosco speculated that the decision to put Gabbard and her husband on the list was a political warfare tool.

“We’ve been calling out the TSA for putting people on watch lists because of their political opinions,” she told Jill, adding that her opinion is “[Tulsi] She said she has been “targeted” because of “how vocal she has been about the Biden-Harris administration’s ‘ridiculous policies.'”

Jill then played a clip from an interview Gabbard did with Chris Williamson on the Modern Wisdom Podcast, in which she said:

President Biden is not the one in charge. He is not the one making the decisions, nor was Kamala Harris, nor will she be if elected president. It is you know, the cabal of Democratic elites, woke warmongers like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, Tony Blinken and Jake Sullivan, and the people in the military-industrial complex, the people who benefit from us being in a constant state of war. It is the people in the administrative state, the national security state, who are gaining more power and ability to take away our freedoms when we are in a crisis.

Jill cites the First Amendment as evidence that Tulsi was well within her rights to say this, no matter how angry the politicians she exposed may have been.

“We have a Constitution,” LaBosca said, “but unfortunately, unelected bureaucrats at the TSA are trying to enforce this unconstitutional policy on Ms. Gabbard, her husband, and so many others.”

Matthew Peterson, editor-in-chief of Blaze Media, asked: “What exactly do we know about the criteria that go into putting people on the Quiet Skies list?… Are they actually setting standards that allow them to go after political opponents?”

“TSA will say that she or her husband or someone associated with her violated their algorithm or their rules,” LaBosco says, “but there’s another thing that could happen: If you have a rude or insolent relationship with a TSA agent at the airport, TSA could step in and issue you with this list status.”

But will Gabbard’s name on the list really affect her life?

Apparently, the answer is “potentially.”

“When you’re on a terrorist watch list, that information gets passed on to your local police and a lot of bad things can happen, like if you get stopped for a traffic violation.”

Until recently, Gabbard reportedly didn’t know that every flight she took was staffed with “two explosives-sniffing dog teams, one transportation security specialist who handles explosives, one plainclothes TSA supervisor, and three federal air marshals.” [boarded].”
