It was a busy day of throwing for the New York Jets quarterback.
Aaron Rodgers made a surprise appearance at a comedy event at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, just hours after watching the Jets beat the Browns in their preseason opener.
Rodgers, 40, took to the stage at the end of the “Kill Tony” podcast’s live broadcast from the world’s most famous arena and was seen tossing several footballs into the crowd.
in Video posted on X, Rodgers was seen tossing at least two footballs, while some of the comedians on stage looked on in bewilderment.
The four-time NFL Most Valuable Player was introduced by podcast host Tony Hinchcliffe and took the stage with a group of comedians, including Joe Rogan, Shane Gillis, Joey Diaz, Jeff Ross and Andrew Dice Clay.
Rodgers had a tumultuous offseason and early preseason. He missed the Jets’ mandatory minicamp in July and was fined $50,000 for taking a scheduled trip to Egypt.
Since returning to camp, Rodgers has been seen getting into heated arguments with teammates, including standout wide receiver Garrett Wilson.
Coach Robert Saleh didn’t completely rule out Rodgers playing in the Jets’ final preseason game against the Giants.
