Danish criminal gangs have begun recruiting “child soldiers” from Sweden to carry out attacks, with 25 such cases recorded in the past four months alone.
This week, Denmark’s Justice Minister Peter Hummelgaard revealed that gangs such as Pakistani gangster Shuaib Khan’s Loyal to Familia (LTF) are outsourcing criminal activities such as shootings and grenade bombs on Danish streets to “child soldiers” from neighbouring Sweden.
According to the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), Hummelsgaard said Authorities have documented at least 25 cases of young Swedish people being exploited by criminal gangs in Copenhagen and other cities.
“Danish criminal organisations hire Swedish child soldiers, as I call them, to carry out criminal acts,” the justice minister said.
“It is extremely worrying that something like this could even happen in the first place, but it is especially worrying that it is currently happening in Denmark.”
Hummelsgaard said police believe the majority of crimes commissioned by “child soldiers” are part of an ongoing gang war between Loyalty to Familia and another, currently unidentified, criminal organisation operating in Denmark.

The LTF was banned as an organisation in 2018 and its leader, Shuaib Khan, Banished But although he was expelled from the country after being convicted of murder, the gang continues to operate with Khan controlling the operations from overseas.
“We don’t believe that trying to ban parts of criminal organisations through sentences will make them disappear. It’s one of many tools that can be used to curb them and make their lives miserable. But they won’t disappear,” Minister Hummelgaard said. said.

Diamant Sarif, Swedish journalist said Danish gangs are using social media to recruit child soldiers from Sweden, posting advertisements on social media apps such as Instagram and Snapchat, as well as encrypted messaging services such as Telegram and Signal, the report said.
He said emojis were often used to express criminal intent, with an apple representing a grenade attack and a water pistol representing a request for murder.
