No Policy Platform, Interviews, Pressers, Primary Votes

Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign is plagued by zero numbers: She has no policy plans on her website, has not given any major interviews or press conferences as a candidate, and received zero votes in the primary.

Harris Waltz’s website has zero policy positions

Harris is officially The Democratic candidate became the presumptive nominee on July 22, ’21. A few days ago, but her campaign website still had a page on her policy positions as of Monday morning.

Website present The site features bios of Harris and her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.), who has been accused of credit-stealing. No official press conferences

Harris has not released a formal policy platform since becoming the presumptive nominee, but she has also not held a formal press conference during that time. As pressure mounted over her lack of media presence, she spoke with reporters in a group outside Air Force II, but it was not a formal press conference.

To quote one source, Daily MailReporter Charlie Spearing reported that Harris’ final solo press conference was held in Dubai on December 2, 2023, where she answered six questions in 12 minutes.

Spearing wrote a famous book Amateur Hour: Kamala Harris in the White House.

Additionally, when Harris spoke with reporters aboard Air Force II, “her campaign staff insisted the conversation was private,” the Associated Press reported. Revealed.

In contrast, former President Donald Trump held a lengthy news conference on Thursday at his luxury seaside estate, Mar-a-Lago.

No official interviews

Harris has also avoided extensive interviews with reporters since clinching the Democratic nomination 21 days ago. She said Thursday she would schedule one in the coming weeks, “by the end of this month.”

Meanwhile, just a few hours after the press conference, Trump gave an hour-long interview on Thursday night with Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlow and Washington bureau chief Matthew Boyle. Trump also did Phone interview Fox and Friends Another example: on Wednesday.

According to the Associated Press, Harris’ strategy is all about trying to control the narrative.

For a candidate’s team, “the goal is to control the message as much as possible,” said Kevin Madden, a Republican communications strategist who served as a senior adviser to Mitt Romney’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns.

In an interview or a press conference, that control is lost: Candidates are at the mercy of the questions journalists pose, even if they try to change the subject.

Instead of confronting the media on issues like inflation, the economy and immigration, Harris is giving speeches on the campaign trail and completely controlling the conversation topics in front of Democratic voters.

Zero votes in the primary election

The most glaring zero surrounding Harris is the number of votes she received as a candidate in the Democratic primary. Despite not running as a presidential candidate and President Joe Biden receiving the title of presumptive nominee after all the nomination contests had concluded, Harris became the nominee through an online vote by thousands of delegates without consulting voters.

Harris’s rise comes after a behind-the-scenes pressure campaign by Democratic Party officials, donors and Hollywood elites was reported to have ousted Biden as the presumptive nominee, triggered by his dismal performance in the June 27 debate with Trump.
