“Pokémon” voice actress Rachel Lillis passes away at the age of 46.
Lilith’s sister, Laurie Oh, confirmed the news to Fox News Digital on Monday. “This is a very difficult time for us right now,” Oh began. “My beautiful sister, Rachel, who we all know as Rae, passed away on the evening of August 10th.”
“She had a kind heart and was truly grateful for the outpouring of love and concern from friends and fans around the world!” she concluded.

Lilith’s co-star, Veronica Taylor To X, Taylor opened the account, formerly known as Twitter, in tribute to the actress, who is battling cancer. Taylor voices the character Satoshi in the “Pokémon” series.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rachel Lillis on the evening of Saturday, August 10th, 2024. Rachel was an extraordinary talent, and her voice was a shining light whether she spoke or sang. She will forever be remembered for the many animated roles she played, most beloved for her iconic performances as Misty and Jessie in Pokémon,” Taylor wrote in the post.
“She had a kind heart and was truly grateful for all the love and concern she received from friends and fans all over the world!”
She added: “Rachel was so grateful for the outpouring of love and support shown to her during her battle with cancer, which truly made a positive difference. Her family would also like to use this time to grieve privately and express their gratitude to everyone. A memorial service will be planned in the future.”

Oh set up a GoFund Me page in memory of her sister on Monday.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce Rachel’s passing. She passed away peacefully and painlessly Saturday night, and for that we are grateful. She is surrounded by infinite love, by God, the angels and the family who preceded her in death,” Oh wrote in a description of the fundraiser.

According to The Hollywood ReporterLilith was born in Niagara Falls, New York in July 1978. According to the media, she played the roles of Misty and Jessie in “Pokémon” for 423 episodes from 1997 to 2015.
