Daniel Jones puts accuracy on full display at Giants camp

Observations from Giants training camp on Tuesday.

Keeping Up with Mr Jones

Daniel Jones was spot on in the 11-on-11 drills, with just three incomplete passes.

One was dropped by Dexter Lawrence and the other by Jalin Hyatt, and Jones connected on a deep crossing route to Darius Slayton.

Around the corner

Starting cornerback Deonte Banks had some shaky moments, including getting beaten by Slayton on a go route early in practice.

It caught my eye

Running back Eric Gray has made several runs into the secondary after scoring on a 48-yard TD run in the preseason opener.

Gray could play a more prominent role depending on how long rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr., who injured his ankle on Tuesday, is out.

Injury Report

Tracy was carried off the field on a stretcher but appears to have escaped serious injury.

Lawrence Cager (groin) could be out for “some time,” according to Brian Daboll.

Evan Neal (ankle) and John-Michael Schmitz (shoulder) returned to practice for 11-on-11 drills.

Malik Neighbors (ankle), Drew Lock (hip), Jon Runyan (shoulder) and Jrue Phillips (ankle) did not practice.
