Sports media personality Stephen A. Smith said on his podcast “The Stephen A. Smith Show” on Tuesday that Vice President Kamala Harris should answer questions from the media.
“It’s been a week, two weeks, three weeks, a day since Joe Biden left office and the only thing I’ve seen of Kamala Harris is a rally. What’s going on? Someone has to say something. And not just conservatives. What’s right is right,” Smith said.
He continued, “I’m here talking to my sister: Come on, you’re running for president of the United States. I voted for you. You’re running for president of the United States. What are you hiding? I mean, you’re hiding in the open. Somebody’s got to say it. Somebody’s got to say it.”
Smith added, “Now you can’t run for president of the United States. You’re not allowed a single press conference, not even a one-on-one interview where someone can ask you the questions that we ask. It’s not fair. It’s not fair. And if you’re a conservative and you want to criticize her and ridicule her and torture her for that, that’s absolutely your right. Anti-conservatives, shut up! That’s a valid point.”
He concluded: “It’s not right to bring up her blackness or her Indian heritage and criticize those qualities. That’s nonsense. But since she’s fixated on Biden’s record, it’s definitely appropriate to ask about her record, especially when you’ve been bragging about it.”
