The father of world-famous soccer player Ramin Yamal was stabbed in a car park in Mataro, Spain, on Wednesday night and rushed to a local hospital, according to multiple reports.
Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia Mounir Nasraoui was reportedly involved in an altercation with a local resident while walking his dog, which led to a fight that left him seriously injured after he was stabbed multiple times.
Nasraoui was taken by ambulance to Badalona’s Can Luti Hospital and is reportedly “out of danger.” Reevo and Mundo Deportivo reported the incident.
Authorities are investigating the incident and several people have been arrested, according to the EFE news agency.
El Mundo newspaper reported that police had arrested three people.
Footage of an earlier incident, allegedly between the father of a famous footballer and a local resident, has been circulating on social media.
The incident appears to have been contained by police and occurred before the stabbing was reported.

The video ends with Nasraoui speaking with two uniformed police officers.
Yamal, 17, appeared to respond briefly to the incident on social media, but then deleted the post.

Yamal played a key role in Spain’s European Championship triumph in July, including providing the assist for Nico Williams’ opening goal in the 2-1 win over England.
Nasraoui is well known thanks to his son and was a major presence at Euro 2024 in Germany.
Yamal’s stardom has brought further recognition to Rocafonda in Mataró, his father’s hometown.
