Mom of 3 shot dead at home while filming TikTok video

An Indiana mother of three was shot and killed through her kitchen window while making a TikTok video with a friend by an alleged stalker ex-boyfriend who had made dire predictions that he might kill her.

According to the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Kaitlyn Lee, 25, was “laughing, dancing and lip syncing” while filming with a friend on Saturday when she suddenly turned around to see someone knocking on her window.

“What are you doing here?” Lee asked, but then a gunshot rang out and she fell to the floor, dead. WHAS-TV News reported..

According to local media, Ms Lee’s ex-husband, Joshua Thompson, 25, was charged with murder after a gun and a shell casing were found outside the window.

According to court documents reviewed by WHAS, the suspect “showed up to his brother’s house crying and distraught and told him he had shot his child’s mother in the head, killing her.”

After turning himself in, he reportedly confessed to shooting his ex-wife after hanging around her house to see if any men were visiting.

The estranged couple had a “toxic relationship” and Thompson had a restraining order issued against him.

Witnesses told police that Lee was so worried that she said, “If she was found dead, Joshua killed her,” court documents state.

“We take allegations of domestic violence seriously,” Floyd County Prosecutor Chris Lane told the outlet, “and we take this case seriously.”

“Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon with these allegations and situations,” Lane said. “Relationships can lead to tragic outcomes and unfortunately, the allegations are that that is exactly what happened.”

Thompson is being held in the Floyd County Jail without bail.

A gofundme.com page set up by friends of the slain woman had raised more than $11,000 by Thursday, the day a wake and funeral for the woman was planned for New Albany.
