Harris campaign’s altering headlines misdirects from other Google threats, professor says: ‘They don’t want us to look at them’

A liberal professor and researcher says the revelation that the Harris campaign was changing Google search headlines to influence voters is simply a distraction from a much bigger threat from Google.

Dr. Robert Epstein, a lifelong liberal from the American Institute for Behavioral Research and Technology, appeared on “Blaze News Tonight” on Wednesday and sounded the alarm about the threat of Google meddling in elections.

“They’re able to sway a lot of votes, so they’re basically undermining free and fair elections.”

“This is essentially a relatively dirty trick, if you want to call it that. It’s competitive tactics, but it’s not illegal. Google says it’s not violating their policies, so it’s not a big deal,” Epstein explained.

“But there’s a big story involving Google and a few other tech companies that I don’t think Google wants us to see,” he continued. “I think they’re misleading us with these little issues because they don’t want us to see it.”

Epstein also said his research team has been monitoring big tech platforms for bias and has found startling evidence.

“So what’s really going on here is that these companies, particularly Google, are shifting millions of votes without people knowing. But of course, our systems are finally, for the first time in history, capturing all the evidence,” he continued. “For example, they’re sending voter registration reminders to Democrats at about 2.5 times the rate they’re sending them to Republicans.”

He went on to say that Google could subtly influence votes simply by introducing a left-leaning bias into its searches.

“Google search results are highly biased and people’s belief in Google’s results can heavily influence their voting outcomes, making undecided people highly vulnerable to manipulation by Google’s search results,” he explained.

Epstein said his data collection and analysis showed Google had the potential to influence between 6 million and 25.5 million votes in the election.

His team also found evidence of an “extreme liberal bias” in the videos the YouTube platform recommends to viewers.

“This won’t affect those who have already made up their mind, but it will have a big impact on voters who are still undecided. And, of course, it is they who will decide the outcome of the election,” he added.

“They’re able to manipulate a lot of votes, and usually no one knows they’re doing it, so they’re basically undermining a free and fair election,” Epstein concluded.

Epstein told The Blaze News that to prevent further manipulation by search engines, voters “should start by protecting their privacy.” Articles from 2017He suggested seven steps that users can take:

He also encouraged Americans to check the data collected on the U.S. Digital Shield website.
