Portland Antifa rioter found guilty of orchestrating riot. Her comrades then apparently got violent.

The Portland, Oregon-based antifa leader was convicted Wednesday of felony charges of rioting, second-degree disorderly conduct and second-degree unlawful use of tear gas in connection with a 2021 riot at a park in neighboring Clackamas County.

Alisa Eleanor Azar, a self-described independent journalist, was charged in connection with the riots that began when Antifa showed up to confront right-wing and conservative activists holding a voter registration drive at Oregon City’s Crackermet Park. Video evidence showed Azar running over to spray a woman with bear spray. According to To Millennials and Beyond.

“We are fighting fascists with and without badges.”

On the day of the riot, Azar promoted a counter-rally on social media, saying: “Don’t forget about this afternoon’s counter-demonstration and if you can, please come and support us! Stand against hatred, stand against fascism.”

Clackamas County Deputy District Attorney Josh Catino argued that antifa is looking for a fight, as evidenced by Azar and other antifa members’ attacks on right-wing events.

An Oregon City police officer testified that his team found homemade explosive devices and riot shields in the area where Antifa had gathered, and that a bomb disposal unit was called in to secure the scene and clear it up.

Azar’s posts on X after the riots also undermine her defense of being a “journalist.”

“There will be victories and many losses. We are fighting fascists with and without badges. There are different forces fighting us, together and independently. So will I,” she wrote in one post.

Azar also has a long history of working with Antifa to carry out attacks and was arrested in Multnomah County, where Portland is located, but the Post Millennial reported that he was never charged in that jurisdiction thanks to a progressive district attorney’s office.

After the ruling was handed down, The Postmillennial and The Federalist Reported Another notorious Antifa militant, John Hacker, is suspected of attacking a man outside the courthouse, leaving him bleeding from the face.

“I crossed the street and John Hacker was there, and I said, ‘I think I saw you hit him,'” Clackamas County Commissioner Ben West told The Federalist. “John tried to get away, but police ended up arresting him.”

“He was bleeding quite a bit and was dazed. I tried to get him off the ground, sit him down and apply direct pressure,” West said. “Antifa then appeared and began yelling threatening language at me and my deputies and making threats while I was filing a police report.”

The hacker was charged with assault and remains in the Clackamas County Jail without bail.
