RFK Jr. denies reports he sought a Cabinet position in a Harris-Walz admin

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has denied reports that he was seeking a position in a hypothetical Democratic administration.

Kennedy was accused this week of reaching out to the team of Democratic presidential candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris to discuss the possibility of serving in a future Cabinet. Washington Post report.

“That’s fake news. I have not asked Kamala Harris for a cabinet position, but I have reached out to all of the candidates and met with some of them,” Kennedy told an audience at a livestreamed TikTok town hall event.

The independent candidate claimed to have met with all the other candidates in the presidential election, specifically mentioning a meeting with Libertarian Party candidate Chase Oliver.

“I wanted to meet with all the candidates and discuss several issues, including toning down the rhetoric, unifying the country and ending the war.”

Kennedy said he wasn’t sure he could serve in a Harris-Waltz administration unless “a lot of different changes” were made.

“Other candidates have met with me, but Kamala Harris has said she doesn’t want to meet with them,” Kennedy said. “Unless they commit to a number of different reforms, I think it will be difficult to work with their administration.”

Kennedy’s unlikely bid for president was dealt a blow earlier this week when a judge ruled that his name should not appear in newspapers, The Washington Post reported Wednesday. New York vote — sought a meeting with Harris in hopes of securing a Cabinet secretary post in a future administration.

Kennedy was previously recorded on video saying: Former President Trump During a meeting at the party’s convention in Milwaukee last month, Trump appeared to mention a potential role in his administration.

Still, Kennedy continues to campaign in the hopes of winning the election and makes regular media appearances, the report said, but leaves open the possibility of meeting with or disrupting either Harris or Trump if they share his vision for the country.

Polls have found Kennedy to be one of the most disruptive independent candidates in decades, both in terms of the breadth and commitment of his base.
