The Disney Grooming Syndicate released a trailer for the upcoming live-action version on Saturday. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs The remake, which has nearly 6.7 million views on YouTube and outnumbers the upvotes by a whopping 10 to 1.
Of the 6.7 million people, only 69,000 voted in favor of the trailer, while a staggering 735,000 voted against it.
For background, a trailer for Disney’s 2023 flop Wonder at least Came in The votes were almost equal, 537,000 in favor and 570,000 against. I don’t think this is the first time a movie from a major studio has been such a big hit. snow white Remake.
Part of the dislike no doubt has to do with the controversy surrounding the film. Instead of promoting her film, Snow White Star Rachel Zegler spent most of the day attacking the beloved 1937 classic as sexist and outdated. snow white She will be empowered and improved upon, correcting all that was “wrong” with the original. There’s no way a prince would stalk her, ever!
And then Disney made the cowardly decision to cave to Peter Dinklage, a midget who has publicly spoken out in outrage at the very idea of Disney. snow white Peter cast another dwarf as a dwarf. Not only is he a very good actor, he’s also quite clever. There’s nothing wrong with casting a dwarf as a dwarf. He knows it. So this canny actor exerts a bit of emotional fascism to stop the other dwarf from going overboard. snow white And I’ll be competing with him for the role.
The idiots at Disney succumbed to the ridiculous idea that the best way to show generosity to the dwarfs was to not hire them, so they beat them to 86. Instead, Snow White was welcomed by the “Wizard.”
When photos of these “magical beings” get leaked… well, let’s just say you wake up stupid.
At this point, Disney realized that Groomers was going to be a box office disaster. snow white March 2024 to March 2025. Zegler was probably told to shut his vain mouth, and the movie was then expensively remade, resulting in a $300 million dud.
The biggest takeaway for me from this trailer is that the idea that Gal Gadot’s evil queen is going mad with jealousy over Snow “Unibrow” White’s beauty is just not something I can buy, no matter how much I try to believe it.
And then, even worse, this leaked scene.
So the dwarves welcome Snow White in, and the vain boss expresses her gratitude by… they Clean it up. Isn’t Snow White supposed to be sympathetic?
One Sweeter put Perfect “Wow. This version of Snow White is a spoiled brat.”
Another Written: “Oh my, you can’t even clean. Are you even paying rent?”
If you recall, the original text reads: snow whitewith the help of her animal friends, Snow White shows her gratitude to the seven dwarfs and agrees to do her share by cleaning the house they invade, for free food and rent. Moreover, this whole sequence was about a larger theme involving how much men and women need each other. The dwarfs feed her and she civilizes them. That’s how men and women work in a normal, civilized society. Now, only a fool would take this message literally—men work and women clean. That’s not true at all. This sequence is a metaphor. Men protect. We are bigger, we’re wired that way. But on our own, we’re Neanderthals. Women make us better.
Anyway, the YouTube comments are worth reading, everyone sees through this garbage.
- So does that mean Magic Mirror will choose Rachel Zegler as the “most beautiful” actress instead of Gal Gadot? That’s a fairy tale!
- Snow White (2025): “I don’t need a man.” Prince: “That’s fine. I’m here for your stepmother.”
- As a kid I waited for Disney cartoons, now I wait for the comments section and the dislikes.
- Seven Little People has been forcing his family to eat instant ramen for years because of Peter Dinklage.
- I’ve never seen so many people rooting for Apple
- Snow White breaks into a stranger’s house and directs and supervises the cleaning of the house
- Did you really think we’d forget? And why did you portray this version of Snow White as a lazy squatter who gets dwarves to clean her house? There’s no way people who want to keep you in their home are going to get a roof over their heads and food that way!
Expect it to fail.
