Brazil midfielder Danilo was carried off the pitch on a stretcher less than 10 minutes into the match. Nottingham Forest’s opening game of the season It is believed he suffered a serious leg injury in Saturday’s game against Bournemouth.
The horrifying scene happened just six minutes into the match when Danilo Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo challenged for the ball on both occasions.

The two players collided and Danilo appears to have sustained the injury when he landed hard on his left foot.
Danilo, who joined Forest from Palmeiras last year, was seen on the ground in obvious pain and calling for help.

He was quickly surrounded by players and medical staff, and eventually a screen was brought up to shield him from the stadium and the game was delayed for several minutes before he was carried off on a stretcher.
The extent of Danilo’s injuries was not immediately known but he was reported to have suffered a broken leg, and images from the incident appeared to show the graphic nature of his injuries.

When play resumed after the interruption, Nottingham Forest were leading 1–0 at half-time. The match ended in a draw.
