Fox News Power Rankings Issue Tracker (Fox News)
Voters are backing former President Trump on the economy and immigration, but Vice President Harris is also making headway on those and other issues in her first Power Rankings issue tracking survey since becoming the Democratic nominee.
Harris in a broad sense is gaining influence
If she wins in November, will Harris push for President Biden’s policies, or will she continue to believe in the more liberal policies she has upheld since running for president in 2019?
Republicans say the answer is “both,” but right now voters aren’t sure which.
Trump wants the public to perceive Harris as “dangerously liberal.” The former president has reminded voters of policies Harris supported in previous campaigns, such as decriminalizing border crossings and implementing the Green New Deal. Trump has described his running mate, Tim Walz, as another in “the most radical left duo in American history.”
At the same time, Trump wants voters to recognize that the vice president’s policies are an extension of Biden’s policies. Trump has harshly criticized Biden on rising prices and the border issue, and at a press conference yesterday said, “You don’t have to imagine what it would be like if Kamala Harris became president, because you’re living that nightmare right now.”
The logic was that Americans disliked Biden and viewed him as too liberal, so telling them that Harris was a more left-wing version of Biden and his right-hand man would make voters wary of a Democrat in power for the next four years.

Harris campaign officials have told news outlets, including Fox News, that she is not pursuing the same policies she did in 2019. But she also Reportedly She has put distance between her and Biden over unpopular aspects of the Biden administration.
