Maxie Salters, a third-generation entertainment publicist and actor who took over the family business established by her father and grandfather, died Thursday in Los Angeles. She was 37. The cause of death was not disclosed.

Born March 22, 1987 and raised in Sherman Oaks, Salters joined Scoop in 2012 and has represented clients such as the Hollywood Bowl, Kia Forum and Music Forward Foundation. Other Scoop clients include the Eagles, John Mayer and Dead & Company. Salters’ grandfather, Lee Salters, who passed away in 2009, was a renowned entertainer who represented superstars such as Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson.
Prior to her public relations career, Maxie Salters earned a degree in Theater from the University of Southern California and worked in film and television casting in Los Angeles. The actress and Screen Actors Guild member has appeared in theater productions and a comedy web series which she created and produced.
The report said Salters had worked with organisations such as One Billion Rising and V-Day to campaign to end violence against women.
“Her unwavering optimism and kind heart touched so many lives,” Scoop’s statement read. LA Times “Leaving a lasting legacy of love and kindness,” it reads.
Salters is survived by her father and his partner Carol Greenhut, her mother Debra Graff and her longtime partner Dim Doblin.
