First permitted protest at Democratic convention kicks off in Chicago

The first permitted demonstrations, scheduled to coincide with the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this week, are set to begin Sunday afternoon in the Loop neighborhood.

The protests are due to begin at 5pm local time on Sunday as delegates and politicians begin arriving in the city ahead of the convention, which officially begins on Monday.
