Observations from Giants training camp on Wednesday:
Bell of the ball
TE Daniel Bellinger broke the seam and caught a touchdown pass from Tommy DeVito in one of the most open opportunities for the Giants quarterback all day, suggesting Bellinger could become even more of a threat as a receiver.

What was that? Ah, another deep pass over the head of the Giants secondary. Jets fans had ample opportunity to cheer as their wide receivers raced past defensive backs Nick McCloud, Darnay Holmes, Tre Hawkins and, at times, Deonte Banks. The DBs were often far behind on the play.
When there was solid coverage (and Bobby Okereke intercepted Aaron Rodgers), rookie Dru Phillips was called for a holding penalty.
It caught my eye
What on earth happened when RB Eric Gray got hit during this joint practice? Gray was nearly cleared by S Chuck Clark during the red zone period and fell to the turf after the hit.
During a joint practice with the Lions, Gray had his back pinned by rookie cornerback Morris Norris.

Injury Report
Quarterback Drew Lock did not participate in any of the team’s practices because he is recovering from a hip injury, and starting guard John Runyon Jr. was unable to even make the bus ride to this practice because of a shoulder injury, but coach Brian Daboll said Runyon should be OK by the start of the season.
