RFK Jr.’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, shared a post on X claiming Democrats are “afraid” their campaign might support Donald Trump.
In a post on X on Thursday, the independent vice presidential candidate said, “My old Democratic buddies are inundating me with frantic calls, texts and emails. Unlike Roe, I would never dream of making those private conversations public, but the message is clear: they are terrified of the idea of our movement joining forces with Donald Trump.”
Kennedy Jr.’s running mate says Democrats ‘obstructed a fair election,’ says he ‘fully supports’ working with Trump
“Whenever we point out that Democrats and their Super PACs have sabotaged our campaign, their response is always ‘But Trump is worse.’ Here’s an idea: Stop suing us. Let’s debate. Stop manipulating the media and the polls. It’s simple. Let’s all follow,” the post concluded.
A source close to the campaign told the New York Post on Thursday that RFK Jr.’s campaign suspension is expected to be announced in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday.

“You know, this is Bobby’s decision. I supported him wholeheartedly in the election. And there was only one party that interfered with our having a fair election, and unfortunately it was the Democrats. They did everything they could, including forming a PAC to deny us access to the ballot,” Shanahan said on Fox News at Night on Tuesday.
Trump says he’s ‘honored’ to receive RFK Jr.’s endorsement, says Democrats ‘treated him very badly’
The Kennedy/Shanahan ballot has had its ups and downs in getting on the ballot in states across the country, most recently facing roadblocks in New York state over a residency dispute.

A six-way poll conducted by Fox News Polls earlier this month found RFK Jr. garnering 6% of the national vote, down from the 10% approval rating the same pollster recorded in July and an all-time high of 15% he recorded in November 2023.
Former President Trump told Fox+Friends on Thursday that RFK Jr. is “a very good man. I would be honored if he endorsed me. I’d be very honored. He’s really a man of the right heart. He’s a man to be admired.”
