Wife of Detroit doctor turns him in for over thousands of horrific videos allegedly found on his electronic devices

The Detroit doctor Accused Police say he was handed over to his wife and then subjected to horrific sexual abuse and invasion of privacy.

According to Michigan State Police, Dr. Umar Aejaz’s wife contacted police on August 7, who obtained a search warrant to search her husband’s electronic devices for evidence. Police found 13,000 videos on just one hard drive and recovered six computers, four cell phones and 15 hard drives.

“The damage is so widespread and the perversity so profound that we are still trying to make sense of it.”

Aejaz is Reportedly During his six years as a physician, he recorded hundreds of patients, from infants to adults.

“This is a total violation,” Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said. “It’s horrifying as a mother. We’re going to do everything in our power to hold him accountable.”

Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard said there is a large amount of evidence in the case and it could take investigators six months to review it.

“The damage is so widespread and so perverse that we are still trying to understand it,” Bouchard added. “There are very sick people in the world.”

Aejaz was charged with numerous offences including sexual abuse of a child, photographing or recording a child in a nude state, photographing or recording a woman over the age of 18 in a nude state and using a computer to commit a crime.

The suspect was held on $2 million bail.

If Ejaz is convicted, he faces a minimum sentence of five years and a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison for each of the 10 felony counts, according to court records.

“This is one of the most shocking cases of a sexual predator that I have seen in my long career,” Bouchard said. “From boys as young as two to adult women, no one is safe from his abhorrent predatory behavior.”

Bouchard said the suspect has two children and had no criminal history prior to the charges.
