Fans and viewers collectively panicked when pop star Beyoncé failed to show up to the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Thursday night despite multiple reports that she would be appearing. “Fucking liar,” one fan responded, accusing the convention and media outlets of lying “to get views.”

Other media outlets followed suit, covering Beyoncé’s performance at the Democratic National Convention, with The Huffington Post encouraging viewers to tune in to “Beyoncé Watch.”

But viewers and attendees of the Democratic National Convention were disappointed to learn that the “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” songstress would not be attending, despite conflicting reports.
