CNN anchor Erin Burnett pushed back against those who downplay the significance of RFK Jr.’s support for Donald Trump.

“When you look at it in the bigger picture, they’re going to say, ‘Well, it’s not a big deal,’ and actually, if that’s the case in battleground states, that’s a big deal. It’s everything. It’s bigger than the difference between Harris and Trump in some of the same states,” the anchor said.

Fox News reported:

CNN anchor Erin Burnett had a message for opponents who ignore former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s “strong” endorsement of former President Trump.

Kennedy shocked the political world on Friday when he announced he was suspending his campaign and endorsing the Republican candidate, despite being a lifelong Democrat.

“The latest battleground state polls have Kennedy at 5 to 6 percent of the vote,” Barnett told viewers Friday night.

“So, when you look at it in the bigger picture, they’re going to say, ‘Well, it’s not a big deal.’ And actually, if it’s in the battleground states, that’s a big deal. That’s what it’s all about. It’s bigger than the difference between Harris and Trump in some of the same states,” she added.

Barnett cited a recent New York Times/Siena College poll that found Kennedy’s approval rating at 6 percent in Arizona and Nevada, and 5 percent in Michigan, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
