It was Aaron Judge’s turn on Saturday after an incredible game in which he went 0-for-2 with 1 walk, 1 hit by pitch and no home runs, ending his four-game home run streak.
As expected daily, the Yankees superstar hit his 50th home run of the season in the first inning on Sunday.
Through 131 Yankees games, the all-time slugger is on pace for 61,884 home runs, which, when rounded up, would tie the club and league records he set two seasons ago.
Judge hit an 0-2 changeup from Rockies left-hander Austin Gomber for a 431-foot home run to left-center field to give the Yankees an early 2-1 lead in the Bronx.

He also decided to sit next to his select peers.
The only major leaguers to hit 50 or more home runs in three separate seasons were Sammy Sosa, Babe Ruth, Mark McGwire and Alex Rodriguez.
Judge previously did the same in 2017, 2022 and 2024.
Judge, who perhaps has loftier aspirations, has hit six home runs in his last six games, eight in his last 10 games and nine in his last 13 games.
