Paige Spiranac revs up NASCAR fans’ hearts as she serves as honorary pace car rider at Daytona

Golf influencer Paige Spiranac headed to the NASCAR track in Daytona Beach, Florida on Saturday night.

Spiranac was at Daytona International Speedway for the Coke Zero Sugar 400. She was named the honorary pace car rider and event official for the race. U.S. Olympians Bobby Finke and Parker Barby also accompanied Spiranac. Finke was named the official starter.

Spiranac may not have the Olympic chops, but she has brought the NASCAR Cup Series to the attention of her 4 million followers on Instagram and 1.6 million on TikTok.

Spiranac described her night at the track as “incredible” in a race recap posted to her Instagram Story on Sunday. She was in the passenger seat of the pace car before the race.

“I’m blown away because this is one of the coolest things I’ve ever done,” she said in the video. “I can hear a car fly by me right now. … Oh my God!”

Spiranac also witnessed a tight race that could have a major impact on playoff berths.

Harrison Burton earned his first career Cup Series victory while his father, former NASCAR star Jeff Burton, was doing live commentary of the race for NBC.
