Two jurors at the center of allegations of jury tampering in the Alex Murdaugh murder trial – one of whom was famously dismissed – have spoken publicly about the case for the first time.
Both jurors, known publicly as “Juror Egg” and “Juror Z,” recently spoke exclusively with Fox News’ Martha MacCallum in an interview that will air Tuesday on Fox Nation.

“Egg Juror,” also known as Juror No. 785, claims that Court Clerk Becky Hill targeted her for removal from the jury because she did not argue for Murdaugh’s guilt.
“Juror Z,” also known as Juror No. 630, voted guilty but said he was and remains unsure about Murdaugh’s guilt and told McCollum he was influenced by Hill and other jurors.

Both are revealing their names for the first time: “Egg Juror” is Myra Crosby, and “Juror Z” is Mandy Pierce.
In a clip of the interview, Pierce can be heard telling the judge “Yes, I was” when asked during the evidentiary hearing whether his decision was “in any way influenced by any communications from the court clerk in this case.”
“She made it seem as if he was already guilty,” Mr Pierce said, telling McCallum “what Becky did was wrong.”
“She came into the jury room and was talking to all of us and interacting with us,” Pierce said.
“I feel like I was targeted,” Crosby told McCollum during the interview.
“Ms. Hill repeatedly asked me what my opinion was, and my answer was always ‘undecided,'” Crosby said.

Asked if she thought the judge made a mistake in firing her, Crosby said: “I honestly do.”

Crosby was given the nickname “the egg juror” after a video of her leaving the courtroom went viral. Before leaving, Crosby drew laughter from the courtroom when she asked if she could take 12 eggs and her wallet. She explained that another juror had brought eggs to hand out and she didn’t want to leave them behind.
The interview, “The Fall of the Murdaugh Family: From Egg to Z,” will be available to watch on Fox Nation on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
Also set for release on Tuesday is Crosby’s book about the trial, “Enough Is Enough: A Tell-All Book: How Juror No. 785 Was Wrongfully Removed from the Jury in the Alex Murdaugh Trial.”

The juror interviews came just weeks after the South Carolina Supreme Court agreed to hear Alex Murdaugh’s appeal based on allegations of jury tampering.

Murdaugh, 56, was convicted in 2023 of murdering his wife and son on a family hunting ground in 2021 in an attempt to buy time and sympathy while trying to distract from and cover up a growing number of financial crimes. He is serving two life sentences for the murders.
The scion of a former South Carolina law family has appealed his sentence over allegations that Becky Hill, the former Colleton County court clerk who presided over his murder case, tampered with the jury.
Former South Carolina Supreme Court Justice Jean Tolle ruled earlier this year that a new trial for Murdaugh was not necessary after hearing from all 12 jurors who convicted him, only one of whom said Hill influenced his decision.
Hill, who is the subject of two ongoing investigations by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office and the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Department (SLED), resigned in March amid allegations of jury tampering in the Murdaugh murder trial.

Judge Hill has denied all allegations that she engaged in inappropriate communications with jurors in court during evidentiary hearings, and outside court she has maintained that her decision to step down was not due to any allegations made against her while she was presiding over Murdough.
