Police are investigating after a “Jaws of Life” tool was stolen from a firefighter in the Democrat-run city of Oakland, California, on Friday.

A police spokesman said the firefighters realized the guns had been stolen shortly after they were used, but authorities did not release any information about any suspects in the incident.
Both agencies are currently working to recover the tool, which is used to rescue people trapped inside vehicles after serious crashes.

Oakland residents have struggled with a crime epidemic, including an elderly man's antique Corvette being stolen in broad daylight after a car show in May, according to Breitbart News.

“This just goes to show that the city has given up on us. They've tried to fix the signal at least a few times, but after they fix it, it usually goes off again within a week or so,” explained Tam Le of Le's Auto Body and Engine Repair shop.
In July, an Oakland gas station owner was trying to bounce back after a mob looted his 76 Gas Station & Mini Market on Hegenberger Road, damaging his business.
“It's the toughest thing you can ever go through in your life … especially if you've put in your sweat and tears every day,” owner Sam Murday said.
