Chuck Martin was cooking!
When the move finally came to allow the use of technology such as iPads on college football sidelines, the majority of coaches were ecstatic.
Chuck Martin, head coach of the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks football team, made headlines recently when he accused the University of Alabama of “illegally recruiting” a talented kicker. Graham NicholsonNow he's back in the spotlight as he's one of the few people on the sidelines who doesn't like the iPad — the only one, he says. “We love technology and we're all excited about the iPads, but of course I'm the only coach in the country who voted against it.”
And from there Martin unleashed a first class tirade on us.
“You don't need an iPad. Back in the day you had to actually coach. You had to watch the game, figure out what was going on and make adjustments,” Martin complained. “Soon there will be fake referees, fake players, fake coaches. It will be like playing NCAA25, only you're playing a video game.”

Chuck had already won me over with what he had to say about Alabama, but this officially made him a college football phenomenon.
Sadly, the shift to technology will probably mean these players will be out of a job in college football in the next 3-5 years, but that's just how it goes in an AI-dominated world.
