California Governor Gavin Newsom is set to make a final decision on legislation that would allow undocumented immigrants to get $150,000 mortgages as first-time home buyers after the state Legislature passed the final version of the bill on Wednesday.
AB 1840, @AsmArambula The bill, which would expand the state's down payment assistance program to undocumented Californians, has passed the state Assembly and is headed to the governor.

Rep. Bill Essari (R-Corona) led the Republican opposition. invoiceBut Democrats passed the bill over a 3-1 veto and sent it to the governor, drawing attention to the party's efforts to create incentives for illegal immigration by piling taxpayer-funded benefits on people who shouldn't be in the country.
California Democrats are very fond of illegal immigrants and offer many incentives for them to come here.
Today, Congress voted to provide illegal immigrants with free down payment assistance (up to $150,000) to buy new homes. This is in addition to providing free health care. pic.twitter.com/qGJ4OIcLCG

As Breitbart News reported, the loan program will be available to existing program No down payment or interest payment is required, but borrowers must repay the principal and a percentage of any increase in the home's value.
Governor Newsom's decision will not only indicate the direction of Democratic policy, but will also be closely watched because California is the home state of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
