However, in December 2022, the former “Ellen DeGeneres Show” DJ was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel room after attempting suicide. She was 40 years old.

At the time, Boss reportedly left behind a suicide note detailing his past hardships and mental anguish.

Meanwhile, Holkar reportedly claimed to police that she had not had any argument with her husband before he left the house and there was no “issue” between them.

The “So You Think You Can Dance” alum seemed suddenly taken by surprise by the death of the love of her life and dance partner, saying her heart was “broken” as she opened up about her grief for the first time.

“We miss you so much,” she wrote in an Instagram post at the time.

A few months later, in February 2023, Holker thanked her fans for giving her “hope and inspiration.”

Around that time, she was also dealing with legal issues related to her husband's death.

That same month, Holker asked a California court to award him half of Boss's estate, noting that there was no written agreement between the two because Boss died without a will.

But by June this year, Holker admitted he was “open” to dating again.
