Aaron Judge, Anthony Rizzo take in U.S. Open action on night off

Aaron Judge traded from the Bronx to Queens on an off night.

Instead of hitting home runs for the Yankees, the Yankees slugger was at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center for Thursday's U.S. Open with his wife, Samantha Blacksieck, and Bombers teammate Anthony Rizzo and his wife, Emily.

The four were spotted sipping the tennis tournament's signature cocktail, a Honeyduce (a Grey Goose-based drink with three melon balls) during Karolina Muchova's win over Naomi Osaka at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

It's become a tradition for the Yankees captain, who has attended games with the Black Sheik for the past two years.

A night of rest is a given for Judge, whose season-long fatigue has only worsened in recent weeks.

In 24 games since the start of August, he has a batting average of .415, an on-base percentage of .556, a slugging percentage of .927, 12 home runs, 24 RBIs, 24 walks (9 of which were intentional), 6 doubles, and 2 stolen bases.

This season, Judge entered Thursday night leading the entire MLB with 51 home runs, 123 RBIs, a .467 on-base percentage, a .731 slugging percentage and a 1.198 OPS.

His batting average of .333 is second only to Kansas City's Bobby Witt's .345.

Not surprisingly, Judge owns an MLB-best offensive WAR of 10.1 and is attempting to match his own AL record of 62 home runs.

Apparently, he was placed on the disabled list in mid-June with a forearm injury but is nearing his return from a rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset and the lineup will likely be boosted by the performance of his good friend Rizzo, who is also close to returning to the Yankees.

The first baseman will further help the team make a playoff push in what is expected to be a tight AL East Division race.

It's back to baseball on Friday, with the Cardinals making it three straight wins with two wins at Yankee Stadium.
