But it was closer than expected.

The Buffaloes looked like they might decide the game late in the fourth quarter after a North Dakota State pass interference call extended the Buffaloes' offense, but they decided to throw the ball on first down with 1 minute, 41 seconds left in the game to stop the clock.
Colorado couldn't reach the first-down marker and punted the ball with 31 seconds left.
The Bisons drove down the field with no timeouts and had a legitimate chance to make the final seconds interesting, and they did just that. Bisons quarterback Cam Miller completed a few passes and got the ball to their own 47-yard line.

It took a miracle for Miller to reach the end zone from 53 yards out. He threw a pass six yards short of the end zone, and rather than being batted down, the ball somehow slipped through the hands of a Colorado defender and into the arms of Tyler Terhaluk.
Unfortunately, the clock reached three zeros and the game was over.
Colorado head coach Deion Sanders was asked after the game about the final play.
“You don't want to know. I don't use foul language, but that's what I thought,” Sanders told ESPN.
Colorado was down 17-14 at halftime but allowed just six points to North Dakota State in the second half.
The Buffaloes will look to extend their winning streak next week when they face Nebraska on the road, while the Bisons will face Tennessee State at home next week.
