Vice President Kamala Harris had three awkward moments in Georgia on Thursday, highlighting why her campaign has tried to hide her from the media.
Media have not interviewed Harris on television since June 24, 2024, and the last time reporters asked her questions at a solo press conference was eight months ago, on December 2, 2023.

In her first pre-recorded interview since joining the campaign 39 days ago, Ms Harris tried to explain the dangers of global warming but instead delivered a string of words.
“The climate crisis is real and it's an urgent issue for which we should apply standards such as meeting deadlines.”

“What will you do on your first day in the White House?” CNN's Dana Bash asked Harris.
Harris uttered the words but did not answer the questions, and the Town Hall's X account called it “incoherent.”
“So what do you do on day 1?” Bash had to ask again.
Kamala Harris began her first interview with another string of words.

It's unclear what Harris meant by that, but she somehow referenced “American supremacy” in remarks at a rally on Thursday that followed a taped CNN interview.
“He even demanded the end of the supreme power of the United States, the supreme power of our country!”
Kamala: “He even called for the abolition of the supreme power of the United States, the supreme power of our country!”
