Former Colorado apartment resident says Gov. Polis ‘wouldn’t last five minutes’ against armed gangs

Cindy Romero, a former apartment resident in Aurora, Colorado, appeared on America Report on Friday to speak out against Gov. Jared Polis (Democrat).

Romero was evicted from her apartment on Wednesday after a group of armed migrants linked to Tren de Aragua seized her apartment, according to video evidence.

“The Governor has already told the mayor that the state stands ready to assist local law enforcement, with assistance from the State Police and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, if necessary,” Polis told the New York Post through spokeswoman Shelby Wieman on Thursday.

“However, police information indicates that this break-in was largely the product of Daniel Jurinski's imagination,” Wieman added.

Romero responded to Governor Polis by saying, “You can't fake a video and Polis wouldn't last five minutes on that property.”

“They don't want to admit they're part of the problem. We rely on the government to make the rules for us, to make the guidelines we have to follow. I call 911. No help is coming. No help.”

“There were no police forces there to make sure we were safe. No one came to help us. We didn't have bulletproof vests. There weren't five police officers there to come with us if there was a problem. We were left to die alone,” Romero added.

Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman, in a statement released exclusively to Fox News Digital, said he believes “the situation is real, but it also needs to be considered in context.”

New security footage from the Romero family's apartment shows more gang activity in the parking lot and armed men pointing weapons at people driving cars.

The video quickly went viral on X, with over 75,000 views to date.
