Kamala’s Lead in Minnesota Cut in Half After Walz VP Pick

Incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris has seen her lead in Minnesota cut in half since she chose Minnesota Governor Tim “Stolen Valor” Walz as her running mate.

In July, shortly after Kamala's coup led to Joe Biden being eliminated from the presidential race, she held a 10-point lead over former President Trump. KTSP/SurveyUSA vote Kamala won handily with 50 percent approval, compared to Trump's 40 percent.

A lot has happened since the poll took place July 23-25. Specifically, she picked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate, and she enjoyed a four-day campaign stint known as the convention, which was promoted with billions of dollars of free advertising from the corporate media.

nevertheless…

The same KTSP/SurveyUSA poll, conducted after the convention on Aug. 27-29, showed Kamala leading by just five points. She had 48 percent approval among those under 50, while Trump had 43 percent:

The Democratic National Convention in Chicago, where Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz kicked off their running mates, was viewed by many as a success, but the latest KSTP/SurveyUSA poll shows Harris' lead in Minnesota has been cut in half from a month ago.

According to our poll, Harris currently leads Republican Donald Trump by five points (48% to 43%), with 4% preferring another candidate and 5% undecided. Harris, who first appeared in the poll last month as a Democratic presidential candidate, held a 10-point lead, 50% to 40%.

What's particularly interesting is that the RealClearPolitics average vote In Minnesota polls, Trump is down just 5.5 points in the state. Against Biden, Trump is Three pointsSome insiders believe that once the race settles down, the Trump-Harris polls will look a lot like the Trump-Biden polls before Biden's disastrous debate performance derailed his campaign.

Before the debate, Trump was beating Biden.

Another state watching this possibility is Virginia, where the race between Trump and Biden was close ahead of the debate. Tied upSince Kamala's successful coup, there have been only two polls from Virginia, both by CacklyMcNeverBorderCzar. Just three point.

The Governor of Virginia denies that the race is on in Virginia…

“The latest polls have Kamala slightly ahead, but it's within the margin of error, so Virginia is competitive. Let's take it seriously,” said Sen. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA). said In an interview with Fox News' Brian Kilmeade on Wednesday: “The fact that we're even having the conversation about Virginia being competitive, even though Joe Biden won it by 10 points in 2020, is surprising and I think reflects the fact that the major issues on voters' minds are the economy and the border.”

If Minnesota and Virginia become crucial states, which seems likely, Harris would have to draw a perfect inside straight flush to win in November, but Trump has every path forward.

Harris Waltz, rep. — Waltz doesn't need to clarify his claim about the rankings: “This is a matter of truth and lies.”
