After a season of ups and downs, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are expected to battle it out for a top-four spot in the English Premier League in the 2024-25 season.
Not only do both clubs have very similar expectations heading into the new season, but they also have a similar approach to the game.
Both Newcastle and Tottenham want to keep possession, keep the ball moving and play up front.
It's no wonder that, as of this writing, this game is being tipped as a favorite to win.

It's been a strange start to the season for Newcastle.
The Magpies were given an easy opening game of the season as newly promoted Southampton travelled to the north-east but an early red card put them in a difficult position after their flow was disrupted.
Newcastle won 1-0 to secure the three points, but it wasn't as easy as some might have thought before kick-off.
Newcastle then travelled to the south coast to face in-form Bournemouth and were lucky to pick up a point. Injuries and suspensions have contributed to Newcastle's shaky start, which is concerning given this team has been a disappointment for much of the 2023-24 season.
Tottenham have also experienced something of a rollercoaster start to the new season.
They drew with heavy favourites Leicester City in their opening game and then thrashed Everton 4-0 last weekend.
Both clubs have a lot to offer offensively but also have a lot to work out defensively if they are to compete with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal at the top of the table.

But that will take time and I imagine this game will live up to expectations with plenty of scoring opportunities for both teams and a back-and-forth game.
