On Friday's “CNN News Central,” Rep. Mike Waltz (R-Fla.) said Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, should pressure President Joe Biden to end fracking if she has truly changed her mind about it. Suspension of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Export License.
Waltz said, “What I find so interesting about fracking is, right now, as we speak, she's vice president and we've already banned the import of LNG that's been extracted from the ground. … I'm talking to our European allies, including frontline countries like Lithuania, who used to buy from the United States, and they're saying, do we have to go back to buying from Russia? Well, if shipping costs go down, that will keep inflation down a lot and bring prices down for the middle class. If she were suddenly pro-energy and pro-natural gas, she could walk into the Oval Office right now and say, President Biden, please lift the ban on LNG. This is a farce, this is a sham, and she's just telling the other side what she wants to hear in order to get elected. She was telling the progressive left what they wanted in the primaries. Now it seems like she's telling the American people what she wants to hear in the general election.”
