LSU's first touchdown of the season was quickly put a bit of a damper on the performance.
With 7:09 left in the second quarter, Tigers quarterback Garrett Nussmeyer found Kylen Lacy in the near corner for a 19-yard touchdown on the PAT, tying the score at 7-7.
Lacy charged into the tunnel with force, but his actions after emerging from the tunnel led the umpires to throw a clothesline onto the field.

After celebrating the win with his teammates, Lacy appeared to pretend to fire a gun at USC defenders.
Lacy was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct, forcing LSU to kick off from its own 20-yard line instead of the usual 35-yard line.
Les Davis and Kirk Herbstreit both agreed it was a “good decision.”
Herbstreit said he understands the “emotions” of college players, but there's a limit to “doing something like that.”
Lacy also celebrated from the bench.

USC's Zachariah Branch then returned a kick 46 yards from midfield to put the Trojans within scoring range, but the game ultimately came down to a field goal.
Lacy, a senior, began his collegiate career at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2020 before transferring to LSU prior to the 2022 season. Last year, he started 10 of the Tigers' 13 games alongside current NFL wide receivers Malik Neighbors and Brian Thomas Jr., both first-round draft picks.
Last season, he had 30 receptions for 558 yards and seven touchdowns.
He is likely to take on a bigger role this year with the departures of Neighbours and Thomas.
