Kamala Harris Never Called Us

Vice President Kamala Harris' decision to ignore Gold Star families who lost loved ones in the Biden administration's disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal shows she thinks “service members are disposable,” said Christy Shamblin, mother-in-law of Staff Sergeant Nicole L. Gee. War Room The guest host is Matthew Boyle, Washington bureau chief for Breitbart News.

Gold Star families who lost loved ones in the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan spoke out about Harris' insults to them over the weekend, essentially suggesting they had allowed themselves to be used as political pawns by former President Donald Trump, who visited Arlington National Cemetery at their invitation to memorialize their loved ones.

Gold Star families said they were shocked by the post and set the record straight, but when asked by Boyle if they had heard from Harris, Sergeant Nicole L. Gee's mother-in-law, Christy Shamblin, Corporal Kareem M. Nikoi's father, Steve Nikoi, and Corporal Riley J. Nikollum's father, Jim McCollum, all said “no.”

“What do you think that says about her character?” Boyle asked.

“I think this shows that she thinks military members are disposable,” Shamblin said, “and that's exactly the impression we get from the White House — that our heroes, our children, my daughter-in-law, are disposable, replaceable, unimportant.”

“I can't live with this. It's unacceptable. Our military members are the most important people in our society,” she continued.

Nikoy said the lack of communication from Harris was “typical of the entire administration.”

“You know, they want to sweep this under the rug, they want to make sure we never talk about it again, never talk about it honestly. If we honor and acknowledge the sacrifice of these children, we'd be forced to admit mistakes were made and we'd stop bringing this up,” he said.

“They're going to try to hide it, and we're going to… I'm pretty used to it, but I'm going to fight back against it, you know, and I'm going to call it out every step of the way,” he continued.

McCollum added that Harris' ignoring them and not even calling them shows she has no integrity whatsoever.

“It's total disrespect. She's left 13 people alone, has not contacted us, has not offered condolences, an apology or an explanation, has completely ignored us and basically silenced us. She has no character,” he said. “She has no respect.”
