REPORT: Police Arrest Daughter Of Fani Willis In Georgia. Nathan Wade Allegedly Shows Up After

According to the Daily Mail, Kinaya Willis, the daughter of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, was arrested in Georgia in late August on suspicion of driving with a suspended license.

On Aug. 24, police arrested the district attorney's 25-year-old daughter in Tyrone for using a cell phone while driving. Daily MailCiting the incident report, officers allegedly discovered her license had been revoked in the incident.

Kinaya Willis appeared to blame her mother for the incident, telling police she was on her phone because “her mother had called her about a pregnancy,” according to the Daily Mail. She also claimed she “didn't know” her license had been suspended on May 13, the paper reported.

According to the outlet, Fulton County district attorneys arrived on the scene after the arrest to retrieve the 2010 Nissan Altima that the daughter was allegedly driving illegally.

The body camera footage was first obtained by the Daily Mail. Obtained Willis arrived at the scene with a man, who the New York Post reported was former special prosecutor Nathan Wade. Police mistakenly referred to Willis and the man as Kinaya Willis' parents, and the Fulton County district attorney clarified that Wade was “just a friend.”

Kinaya Willis was released from the Fayette County Jail after being arrested on a misdemeanor charge of driving while license revoked or suspended, the outlet reported. Authorities reportedly took her mugshot at the jail, which is 30 minutes away from her mother's office in Atlanta. (RELATED: Nathan Wade says affair with Fani Willis is 'as American as apple pie')

According to the Daily Mail, Willis' daughter faces a minimum of two days in jail, a $500 fine and six months of probation if convicted. Her arraignment is scheduled for October 24.

While prosecuting former President Donald Trump, Willis came under fire for an affair with Wade, who recused himself from Trump's Georgia election interference case following an order from Judge Juan Marchan in March.
