Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a Democrat, ignored questions about how he and Vice President Kamala Harris would lower prices.
The video, shared by the Trump War Room, shows Waltz sitting among the crowd, with one person heard asking, “What is your administration going to do about lowering prices?”, before adding, “Can you answer a question for me?”
Of course, Waltz completely ignored the question, a move that was clearly supported by his entourage, as the video shows.
clock:
The moment came as many Americans observed the harsh reality that both Harris and Waltz seemed to refuse to answer questions that weren't scripted. That aside, Harris mostly dodged the question about Biden economics and price cuts in her only sit-down interview since taking office.
As Harris spoke about her plan to lower prices, CNN's Dana Bash asked her, “You've been vice president for three and a half years. Why haven't you done all of the things you're talking about yet?”
Harris responded by claiming the economy must “recover,” which was a complete lie.
“First and foremost, we needed to get our economy back on track, and we've done that. I'm very proud of our work to keep inflation below 3 percent and to cap insulin costs for seniors at $35 a month,” she said.
Of course, the assertion that the economy should have been on the mend when Harris took office is simply not true.
As fact-checked by Breitbart News:
Before Kamala Harris and Joe Biden took office, the US economy was recovering rapidly from the pandemic and lockdowns. According to the Commerce Department, the economy grew at an annualized rate of 34.8% in the third quarter of 2020, 4.2% in the following quarter, and 5.2% in the first quarter of 2021.
The unemployment rate, which soared as businesses were ordered to close during the pandemic, has also fallen sharply. After hitting a high of 14.8% in April 2020, the rate was down to 6.4% by the time Harris became vice president.
Far from “mismanagement” exacerbating the economic challenges caused by the pandemic, the Trump administration’s response averted what would have otherwise been economic disaster.
Yet both Biden and Harris continued to cling to this lie and, ironically, used it to greenlight legislation that drove inflation to its highest levels in decades, specifically the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan.
When asked if Biden economics had been a success, Harris again deflected but tried to link it to “good jobs” overall.
I would argue that efforts like lowering prescription drug prices for Americans, including capping the annual cost of prescription drugs for seniors at $2,000; reducing child poverty in America by over 50% by extending the child tax credit in the first year of my Administration; investing in the American people, creating over 800,000 manufacturing jobs and bringing companies back to America by improving our supply chains so we are not reliant on foreign governments to provide American families with their basic needs, are good efforts. There is still a lot of work to be done, but these are good efforts.

But Walz's ignoring of legitimate questions is not surprising and follows the precedent set by Harris, who chose to wear earbuds and ignore the media while boarding a flight to Michigan this week.
