“Communism is of the past” and “freedom is of the future,” former President Donald Trump said in a speech to the Economic Club of New York, blasting his “comrade” Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Her values haven't changed,” Trump said of Harris. “That's what she wants, so she spoke the truth. We're not going to allow this to happen.”
“Communism is the past. Freedom is the future. It's time to bring comrade Kamala Harris home to California, a place where crime is rampant and escape is a primary goal,” Trump added.

In contrast, Comrade Kamala Harris wants to punish corporations, sacrifice our wealth, destroy our economy, and drive jobs overseas. More corporations will leave the United States. They will leave the United States. They are international corporations. They report to shareholders, and if her plan comes to the fore in even a small forum, they will leave the United States.
Her tax proposal also includes a promise to repeal the Trump tax cuts, which would be a massive tax increase of its own — over $5 trillion, many times larger than the previous tax increase. The proposed tax increases would be the largest small business tax increase in history, dramatically raising taxes on 25 million small business owners, raising the small business tax rate to over 43% — in other words, 20% higher than Communist China.
“Kamala has also pledged to raise the corporate tax rate from 21 percent to 28 percent,” Trump said. “We've got it down to 15 percent, and she's actually going to raise it to 40 percent, 45 percent, even 50 percent,” Trump said, explaining that people need only look at her record and follow her lead.
He added that his Democratic opponent “want to significantly raise capital gains tax rates, and so does she. They won't even give us a number, but they're going to impose a 25% tax on unrealized capital gains for the first time in history. So if you have a lot of assets and you don't have cash, you're in trouble.”
“This will push America into a 1929-style depression. And it will be a depression,” he added.

Trump also went on to sharply criticize Harris' record on immigration, describing her vision as posing a “fundamental threat to the prosperity of every American family and America itself.”

Trump continued:
She wants to cut police budgets, completely open the borders, ban fracking in Pennsylvania and elsewhere, strip people of their private health insurance, and, perhaps most relevant to the very fine people in this room, raise business and corporate taxes, and, incredibly, tax unrealized capital gains. Most people don't even know what that means.
Harris noted that she has pursued all of these things for many years.
“And as we all know, she's a Marxist who almost singlehandedly destroyed San Francisco,” he added.
