The best sports movies have a universal story that can appeal to anyone, regardless of the sport depicted, whether you like the sport or not. That said, it helps to like sports.
For SB Nation fans who love sports movies, this is the one for you. Our friends at Vulture have created a special edition of the Cinematrix game just in time for NFL kickoff weekend Tap the link and enjoy while you wait to watch tonight's game.
It's easy to play, here are the rules:
- For each square, choose a movie that satisfies the two intersecting clues on the x and y axes. If you see a movie poster, congratulations! You got that square right.
- You have nine guesses to fill the entire grid, and you can't use the same movie twice.
- If you're unsure of a particular clue, click on it to see a mugshot of that person or read a more detailed description.
- When you correctly guess a movie, a percentage appears in that square, which represents the number of players who guessed the same movie in that square.
- At the end of each game, you'll get a rarity score – choosing lesser known movies for each square will give you a more impressive score.
