Tucker Carlson blasted for interview with Holocaust revisionist

Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson has faced criticism for hosting a Holocaust revisionist on his podcast.

Carlson, a former Fox News commentator, now hosts “The Tucker Carlson Show” on social media platform X. Earlier this week, Carlson hosted podcaster Darryl Cooper, who introduced him as the “most important popular historian” in the United States.

meanwhile InterviewCooper made some controversial claims about the Holocaust and World War II.

He claimed that Winston Churchill was the “chief villain” of World War II, but acknowledged that Adolf Hitler was “primarily responsible” for the war's sending people to concentration camps. Cooper also made controversial comments about the Nazis' genocide of the Jews, arguing that it was the result of poor planning for the treatment of the peoples who came under their control.

Carlson is known for spreading controversial claims and parted ways with Fox News in 2023 over false statements he made about the 2020 election.

Elon Musk, CEO of X and Tesla, shared the podcast on his account, commenting that it was “very interesting. Worth a watch,” before deleting the post. The New York Times reported.

Cooper's appearance on the podcast has drawn criticism from both sides of the aisle.

Rep. Mike Lawler (NY) He told Jewish Insider He said giving a platform to Holocaust revisionists was “deeply disturbing.”

“While I was a state legislator, I worked with Democrats and Republicans to pass legislation to ensure that every student in New York state received a proper education about the Holocaust, something that Mr. Cooper clearly never received,” Lawler said.

Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) told the outlet that revisionist views of the Holocaust are “lies and harm the fight against anti-Semitism.”

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) Shared the podcast “This is pro-Nazi propaganda,” he wrote in a post on X.

“Any person with integrity and integrity would not support or endorse this kind of nonsense,” she said.

The Biden administration criticized Carlson for giving Cooper the platform.

“Giving the microphone to a Holocaust denier who spreads Nazi propaganda is a sickening and cruel insult to all Americans, to those who were part of the more than six million Jews genocided by Adolf Hitler, to the service of the millions of Americans who fought to defeat Nazism, and to all the victims of anti-Semitism in its wake,” said Andrew Bates, senior deputy press secretary. He told CNN.

The Hill reached out to Tucker Carlson for comment, who told CNN that the Biden administration is “war-mad.”

“I'm sickened by the fact that these madmen have used the Churchill myth to bring our country closer to nuclear war than ever before in our history,” he said.

Carlson began a 16-day speaking tour earlier this week that will see him travel the country interviewing allies of former President Trump ahead of the election. He kicked off the tour in Arizona with fellow celebrity Russell Brand.
