Jesse Waters: Today was a major blow for the Harris campaign after the Manhattan judge presiding over President Trump's hush money case postponed his ruling until after the election.

Harris had hoped that Trump would run into legal pitfalls in October, and now that he has a clear path forward legally, the Obama campaign is urging Democrats not to get their hopes up as reality sets in.

They say if the election were held today, Trump would likely win. That's what we've been saying all along. “Let's talk about the elephant in the room,” says Democratic numbers expert Nate Silver. “The Electoral College is starting to look like it's going to be a challenge for Kamala Harris.”

Silver said there have been many mediocre polls for Harris and projected Trump to win every battleground state by between 1 and 4 points.

Silver estimates Trump's chances of winning at 62 percent, and Clinton is going on the offensive.

Even Biden plans to watch Tuesday's debate with low expectations. His team considers Kamala Harris' public performances shaky and often unsettling, and they worry she will suffer under the pressure of public scrutiny.

They feel she is so risk-averse that it's paralyzing her. So if Kamala Harris crumbles under pressure and freezes up, indecisive, shouldn't we prepare her with interviews rather than throwing her into the biggest debate of her life? Coldly?
