Video Shows Tennis Player Jack Draper Vomit In Tense Semifinal Match

Cameras in New York captured Britain's Jack Draper vomiting three times during his US Open semi-final match against Jannik Sinner on Friday, according to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

Draper said he was in good form in the first set against world number one Sinner of Italy but lost 7-5. BBC.

But while trailing 4-3 in the second set, Draper vomited three times, including once when the camera was focused on his face while returning Sinner's serve.

The video shows Draper slowly walking down the baseline, sweating profusely, then bending over and vomiting on the court. (Related: Reds' Hunter Greene vomits during game)

As reported by the BBC, Draper fell behind in the third set and was powerless to come back, losing 6-3, sending Sinner to his first US Open final.

“I'm definitely a pretty anxious person,” Draper told the BBC. “So when you combine all that, it can make me feel a little bit nauseous on the court and a little bit sick when I'm struggling.”

The 22-year-old said he felt dizzy and could barely drink water, but had no intention of quitting. ESPN Reported.

“I don't want to withdraw from a Grand Slam semifinal,” Draper said. “I know that last set didn't look very good from courtside or watching on TV. … I'm proud of myself. I fought my hardest.”

According to ESPN, Draper is the first British player to reach the semifinals since Andy Murray won the tournament in 2012.

According to ESPN, Draper was selected 123rd overall last year and they believe he will continue to improve as he gains experience.

“I just need to keep learning, keep growing and keep going through the stuck situations like today,” he said.
